Metric Environmental recently completed (July 2023- October 2023) a successful tree inventory aimed to create a preservation plan for the City of Beech Grove, Indiana. The inventory was strategically conducted in anticipation of the construction of the Hornet Greenway Trail. Metric collaborated closely with the design engineers to assess all areas potentially impacted by the project to ensure thorough evaluation of the City of Beech Grove’s tree preservation needs.

During the inventory process, trees to be preserved were tagged, and precise GPS locations were recorded for all trees located within the project limits. Using industry standards and best management practices, Metric was able to identify and preserve trees of significant ecological, aesthetic, and cultural value.

Our deliverables to the City of Beech Grove included a preservation plan, a detailed tree assessment table, and project plans tailored to facilitate the tree preservation efforts based on the City of Beech Grove’s commitment to the urban forest. Through the project, Metric Environmental remains steadfast in our mission to safeguard and enhance urban forestry resources for the benefit of present and future generations for the City of Beech Grove.
